Artifactive

Artifactive vs Cloudflare Access

Five viewers or five thousand cost the same.

Cloudflare Pages + Access is the most common setup for putting an internal dashboard behind a login. The free tier covers 50 users. Past that, every additional person costs $7/month, and Cloudflare counts viewers the same as publishers.

Artifactive charges per publisher (the people uploading dashboards). Viewers log in with their company email and don't count toward a seat.

What using Cloudflare Access actually looks like

You configure two separate products. Cloudflare Pages hosts your files. Cloudflare Access controls who can see them. They live in different parts of the Cloudflare dashboard, with separate settings and separate documentation.

Cloudflare counts every viewer as a paid user after 50. A 200-person company viewing a single static dashboard pays $1,050/month ($7 times 150 seats above the free tier).

Each viewer gets an email PIN on every visit. Unless your IT team has already wired up an identity provider inside the Cloudflare dashboard, viewers receive a one-time code by email each time they open the page.

The person who built the dashboard probably isn't a Cloudflare admin. An analyst builds a report in Claude and wants the team to see it. Getting it live means learning DNS records, access policies, and application configuration, or asking someone else to do it.

How Artifactive works

Drop your HTML file onto Artifactive, or publish from Claude using the desktop extension. You get a link.

When someone clicks the link, they see a login screen. They enter their company email and they're in. Takes about 30 seconds. Their browser remembers them after that.

If your IT team has connected Google Workspace, Okta, Entra, or another identity provider, the login routes through that instead.

Getting started

  1. Sign up. A login link sent to your work email. Takes about five minutes, no identity-provider setup needed to start.
  2. Set your publishers. Pick Core at $128/month for up to 5 publishers, or Business at $338/month for up to 15 publishers. These are the only seats you pay for.
  3. Publish. Drag a file onto the page, or publish from Claude Desktop. You get a gated link in about ten seconds.
  4. Share. Send the link. Anyone in the company signs in with their company login and views. No viewer cap.

Common questions

Does this work with Google Workspace? Okta? Entra?

All of them, plus every other major identity provider. Your IT team connects it once, and every dashboard you publish after that uses the same company login. Full details on the security page.

What happens when someone outside my company clicks the link?

They see a login screen. If their email domain isn't on your approved list, they can't get in. Nothing is exposed through the URL alone.

Can I publish directly from Claude?

Yes. The Claude desktop extension publishes artifacts as gated links without leaving the conversation. You can also drag and drop any HTML file through the web interface.

Is there a limit on how many people can view a dashboard?

No. Plans are based on publisher seats (5 or 15). Viewers are unlimited.

We have fewer than 50 people. Is Cloudflare fine for us?

The free tier covers your headcount, so you won't pay for seats. The other friction is still there: configuring two products, the per-visit email PINs (unless you've connected an identity provider), learning the Cloudflare dashboard. If those tradeoffs don't bother your team, Cloudflare works. Artifactive fits better once your viewer count grows past 50, or when the person sharing doesn't want to configure infrastructure, or when you want to publish from Claude directly.

Is Cloudflare Access free?

Yes, for up to 50 people who log in. Past 50, it moves to $7 per user per month, charged across everyone who authenticates rather than only the users above the limit.

What's the cheapest way to gate a static site to my company without per-user pricing?

Host it somewhere that charges by publisher rather than by viewer. Artifactive uses that model: you pay for 5 or 15 publishers and invite unlimited viewers at no added cost.

Can people view a dashboard without an account?

No. Every viewer signs in with their company login first. If the link leaks, it opens nothing for anyone outside the company.

How much does Artifactive cost?

Two plans: Core at $128/month for up to 5 publishers, and Business at $338/month for up to 15 publishers. Both include unlimited viewers. Anything larger is custom. See pricing →
