Artifactive vs Claude Native Sharing
The people viewing the dashboard don't need Claude.
Claude's built-in artifact sharing works inside your Team or Enterprise workspace. Every viewer needs a paid seat to open the link, and the artifact can't reach anyone outside the workspace. If you're on a Free, Pro, or Max plan, you can publish artifacts publicly instead, but then anyone on the internet can see them.
Artifactive sits between those two options. It publishes a Claude artifact as a standalone link gated to your company. Viewers log in with their work email. They don't need Claude, they don't need a seat, and nobody outside your company can get in.
What sharing through Claude actually looks like
Claude handles sharing differently depending on your plan, and neither path gives you company-gated viewing without extra seats.
Team and Enterprise plans: viewers need seats. When you share an artifact on a Team or Enterprise workspace, every viewer must be logged into that same workspace with their own account. A Team Standard seat costs $25/month ($20 on annual billing). If 10 people build dashboards and 40 others just need to view them, all 50 need seats. That's $1,250/month on monthly billing, or $1,000/month on annual, and 40 of those seats exist solely for viewing.
Team and Enterprise plans can't publish publicly. Anthropic disables public artifact publishing on Team and Enterprise. The sharing feature is org-internal only. If a stakeholder, contractor, or office without Claude seats needs to see the dashboard, there's no native way to send it to them.
Free, Pro, and Max plans can publish publicly, but with no access control. On these plans, you can publish an artifact and get a link anyone can open. There's no login screen and no way to restrict who views it. For an internal financial report or a customer-facing metrics dashboard, that's usually not an option.
One path locks viewing behind paid seats. The other removes access control entirely. Neither gives you a link that's gated to your company without requiring every viewer to carry a Claude subscription.
How Artifactive works
Build your artifact in Claude, then publish it through the desktop extension or drag the HTML file onto the Artifactive web interface. You get a link.
When someone at your company clicks that link, they see a login screen. They enter their work email and they're in. The browser remembers them, so they won't see the login screen again on that device. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.
If your IT team has connected Google Workspace, Okta, Entra, or another identity provider, the login routes through that instead of email.
The viewer doesn't need Claude. They don't need any software installed. They open a link in their browser and authenticate with the company credentials they already have.
Getting started
- Sign up. A login link sent to your work email. Takes about five minutes, no identity-provider setup needed to start.
- Set your publishers. Pick Core at $128/month for up to 5 publishers, or Business at $338/month for up to 15 publishers. These are the only seats you pay for.
- Publish. Use the Claude Desktop extension to publish directly from a conversation, or drag an HTML file onto the web interface. You get a gated link in about ten seconds.
- Share. Send the link to anyone in the company. They log in with their work email and view. No Claude seat needed.

Common questions
Can I share a Claude artifact with people who don't have Claude?
Not through Claude's built-in sharing. On Team and Enterprise, viewers must have seats in the workspace. On Free, Pro, and Max, you can publish publicly, but there's no way to restrict access to your company. Artifactive publishes the artifact as a gated link that any colleague can open by logging in with their work email, with no Claude account required.
Does this work with Google Workspace? Okta? Entra?
All of them, plus every other major identity provider. Your IT team connects it once, and every dashboard you publish after that uses the same company login. Full details on the security page.
What happens when someone outside my company clicks the link?
They see a login screen. If their email domain isn't on your approved list, they can't get in. Nothing is exposed through the URL alone.
We already pay for Claude Team. Why not just give viewers seats?
It works, and if those viewers also use Claude for their own work, the seats pull double duty. The mismatch shows up when seats exist only for viewing. Forty view-only seats on Team Standard cost $1,000/month (annual) or $1,250/month (monthly). Artifactive charges for the 10 people publishing dashboards and doesn't meter viewers at all.
Is Claude native sharing fine for small teams where everyone already has a seat?
If every person who needs to view the dashboard already has a Claude Team or Enterprise seat for their own work, native sharing covers the use case without adding anything. Artifactive fits better once dashboards need to reach people outside the workspace: other departments, contractors, offices that don't use Claude, or a viewer count that makes seat-per-person pricing impractical.
Can I publish directly from Claude?
Yes. The Claude Desktop extension publishes artifacts as gated links without leaving the conversation. You can also export the HTML file and drag it onto the Artifactive web interface.
Is there a limit on how many people can view a dashboard?
No. Plans are based on publisher seats (5 or 15). Viewers are unlimited.
How much does Artifactive cost?
Two plans: Core at $128/month for up to 5 publishers, and Business at $338/month for up to 15 publishers. Both include unlimited viewers. Anything larger is custom. See pricing →
